A place to record all of the above.
A place to record all of the above.
What does it mean to you? Being the Observer? You are probably saying, "Yeah Nicole, I know where this is going. You are talking about observing my thoughts." Maybe you weren't saying that either. :-) Anyway, what does it mean to you? Reflect on that for a moment and then continue reading.
If you are one who said about being an observer of your thoughts, then yes, you are partly correct. Yes, watching your thoughts is a great role, however, I am talking about many forms of observation today. Forms that will possibly spark a different perspective for you.
There is the observer of thoughts, the observer of actions, the compassionate observer, the observer of emotions, etc. What do these have in common? Yes of course the observer word. HA! HA! HA! The common denominator is being unattached to whatever it is you are watching. Kind if like watching a movie or TV show and not being into the characters, story, etc. The longer you can observe in this capacity, the easier it is to see the "big" picture. The Universal picture.
Are there any areas of your life that you already observe without judgement, attachment and or emotions? Are there more areas you can observe? Although it is wonderful to observe others in this manner, I am talking about you. Observing you, your behavior and your beliefs.
A couple of things may be running through your head at this time about this subject. Like, How in the hell do I do that? I don't even know where to begin?! Why would I want to do that? Or, maybe, won't I start to feel dead inside? Will I lose everything that is dear to me? Maybe there are other questions that come up for you.
Of course my response is you don't have to "DO" anything. Well, there is one thing. Love YOU. Love what ever is coming up. The more you do that, the more you will be able to feel and recognize your true essence. The more you will notice, patterns and beliefs that are not yours--That you have been following and believing most of your life. Look at it like this. Have you ever stopped, taken a breath and watched a Robin (bird) hunt for worms? No? Why not? Yes? What did you observe about their behavior? Did you feel let down if they didn't find a worm? How do they know how to hunt for a worm? Is there a different way they can hunt for a worm?
Most likely you observed with out an attachment. Yes, it is possible to observe ourselves like this without the attachment. I am not saying that you have to question everything you do either. What I am saying is to take notice if something you are passionate about or something that upsets you causes your stomach to tense. Maybe it causes you to clench your teeth. Maybe you feel another kind of discord. Regardless of how it shows up, observe yourself as you would that Robin. This is a great way to start to connect with what is your truth, which will ultimately align you with The Truth. The Soul's truth. The Universe.
Remember, you don't have to have it all figured out and go at it alone. Even if you totally understood what in the hell I am talking about. I am here to support you. There are many others that can help support you also. You are amazing and you are enough. I love you.
Until next time...
This is where I put the things that the Divine wants me to share at this time. :-)
